From.KaZaa. That what you were going to do, weren t you? Don t lie. The hardware that is truly emulated is the sound and video circuitry. The 64 SID sound chip is more than up to the task of doing the sound, and the VIC-II vid chip manages character graphics just fine. However, the VIC-II requires some hellish raster work to emulate 256x192x16 graphics. First, the Tomy 9918ANL has a different palette, and second, it can use 2 colours per 8x1 cell unlike the VIC-II which is limited to 2 per 8x8.
